No hiding place for Enyimba in Katsina, says Biffo

By Akeem Lawal
KATSINA United Coach, Abdullahi Usman Biffo has said that there will be no hiding place for Enyimba during the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match-Day 3 encounter at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina on Sunday.

Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Chanji Boys will be looking forward to secure their first win of the season after they played out a 2–2 draw with Kano Pillars in the opening match of the season before they suffered a last-ditch 2-1 loss to Sunshine Stars in Akure Wednesday.

Coach Biffo said the team has put the defeat in Akure behind them and are now fully focused on the crunch tie against the People’s Elephant as he hopes to secure his first home points in charge of the team.

“We have put the mid-week loss to Sunshine Stars behind us and all we are thinking of now is the match against Enyimba. Sometimes football is cruel because we deserved to pick a point in Akure, but we ended up coming back home without anything.

“We have picked a big positive from that game which was the response of my players after they were a goal down - they responded well by scoring the equaliser.

“Now, we are fully ready for the game (against Enyimba )and we will make sure that we secure the maximum points for our fans in appreciation for their teeming support,” Biffo told www.fckatsinaunited.com.

Team News
The mercurial midfielder of Katsina United Destiny Ashadi is in line to return to the squad after shaking off a minor knock picked against Pillars in the opening match of the season, which kept him out of the mid-week clash at Sunshine Stars.
Enyimba will be without five of their players who are currently with the local Super Eagles in Morocco at the on-going African Nations Championship – Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Austine Oladapo, Theophilus Afelokhai, Mustapha Ibrahim and Ikouwen Udoh.

Previous Meetings
Both teams met recently in the Alhan Pre-season Tournament in Kano and it ended goalless.
They also met in the last season’s NPFL, where Katsina United won the first game 2 – 1 at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, goals from Obinna Eleje and Chinedu Udechukwu gave 'the Chanji Boys' maximum points.
Ikechukwu Ibenegbu’s lone strike in the reverse game avenged the loss in Katsina.
