SUPER Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho was conspicuously
missing for Manchester City as returning Sergio Aguero struck twice to lead the
Premier League leaders to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Swansea on Saturday.
The Nigerian international who scored twice in three
games while Aguero was serving his ban for elbowing West Ham's Winston Reid was
a non-playing substitute at the Liberty Stadium.
This will be the second match the 19 year old who scored
13 goals in his breakthrough season under Manuel Pellegrini last year will not
feature for the Citizen this season. He was also an unused substitute City’s
3-1 win over West Ham United in Premier League match day 3.
The Nigerian youngster had appealed to City boss, Pep
Guardiola to play him upfront alongside the Argentine ahead of the Swans
encounter, but the plea fell on deaf ears of the Spanish tactician who
preferred the more experienced striker.
Aguero, on his return from the three-match suspension,
opened the scoring with a fine finish before Fernando Llorente swiftly
equalised with his first goal for Swansea.
Aguero added his second of the game, and 11th of the
season, from the penalty spot after Mike van der Hoorn was penalised for an arm
across the face of Kevin De Bruyne, and Raheem Sterling completed the scoring
and ensured coach Pep Guardiola won all 10 of his games in charge since taking
charge of Manchester City in the summer.
