THE Cameroon’s national team, the Indomitable Lions on Wednesday intensified training ahead of a double friendly confrontation with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Austria.

The two former African champions clash in two back-to-back international friendlies on Friday and next Tuesday at the Weiner Neustadt Stadium in Austria.

Though the Indomitable Lions technical team was reportedly complete, 26 players out of the 28 recently selected by Coach Antonio Conceiçao, took part in the training session which took place at Sportplatz Simmering.

“The Indomitable Lions completed their second training session this morning on Austrian soil. 24 players took part in this session which took place at Sportplatz Simmering.

“The membership of the Lions is almost complete. Arrived this morning before the start for the morning training session, Nouhou Tollo was unable to participate. Jean-Charles Castelleto is expected to join the den at any time,” the Indomitable Lions said via its official Twitter handle earlier on Tuesday.

Meanwhile Camerron are sweating on the fitness of goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa for the encounter. The Deportivo Alavés goalkeeper, who is on loan at Croatian club Istra 1961 injured a finger on his right hand on Tuesday’s training session.

Lodged at the Hilton Vienna Danube Waterfront Hotel, the camp which opened on May 30, 2021 is expected to run until June 9, 2021.

These friendlies will no doubt test both countries' strength for the imminent World Cup qualifiers and next year's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
