Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships which serves as a qualifying event for the Commonwealth Games in 2022, Birmingham. The event is being concurrently held with the World Weightlifting Championships where the gold medalist from each category will win the ticket for the Commonwealth Games.
Kingsley secure her place in next year’s Games after winning gold in women's 49kg category at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships. The 19-year-old lifted a combined 168kg (72kg in Snatch and 96kg in Clean and Jerk) to secure a 2022 CWG berth.

India’s Jhilli Dalabehera lifted a total of 167kg to claim the silver medal. She managed a successful 73 kg lift in Snatch while she lifted 94kg in Clean and Jerk at the ongoing weightlifting tournament.
Winnifred Ntumi from Ghana attained a third place finish to win a bronze medal at the weightlifting event.

2019 African Games champion, Adijat Olarinoye on the other hand won a silver and two bronze medals at the World Weightlifting Championships. The 22-year-old qualified for the Commonwealth Games despite winning silver due to the fact that the gold medalist, Ghofrane Belkhir’s Tunisia is not a commonwealth nation.
Olarinoye, who won two gold and one silver at the last African Games held in Morocco, lifted 203kg in the Women's 55kg - Total to win the silver medal, as the Tunisian won the gold with a total lift of 203kg, while Svitlana Samuliak of Ukrain won the bronze medal with a lift of 201kg.
She lifted 113kg to secure bronze in the Clean & Jerk, with Sorokhaibam B of India winning gold with a lift of 114kg and Ham Eunji of Korea winning silver with a lift of 114kg.
Olarinoye won her second bronze medal with a lift of 90kg in the Women's 55kg - Snatch, while Ghofrane Belkhir of Tunisia won the gold with a lift of 92kg and Svitlana Samuliak of Ukrain won the silver medal.
