SAFETY Shooters continued in their quest to retain the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League title as they defeat rival De Defenders on Day 6 of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2021.
In a match described by pundits as a derby of Abuja, Safety Shooters of the FRSC got a pulsating 23-18 win over De Defenders of the Civil Defense to go top of the Men Category league table.
Rima Strikers of Sokoto got a comfortable 33-22 win over Plateau Vipers.
In the Women Category, defending champion Adorable Angels came back to winning ways as they defeated Kada Queens 31-24 all thanks to the return of star player Idowu Abdurasaq, who temporarily left the to team to write an examination.
Imo Grasshoppers struggled against Plateau Peacocks but an edge of experience and some stroke of luck ensured that they pulled a 23-18 victory over the former champion right at dead of time while Bayelsa Queens remain rooted at the bottom of the league table after they lost against Edo Dynamos 32-20.
