SUPER Eagles midfielder, John Ogu will play his last game for Hapoel Beer Sheva against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the last game of the Israeli Premier League season on Saturday, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.

The Nigeria international, who last month, announced his exit from the club at the end of the season after spending five years with the club, took to his social media account on Tuesday to write an emotional message, thanking fans for their support.

“Saturday is going to be my last game wearing HBS jersey. Trust me it’s going to be emotional for me. I sure will see you all on Saturday in the game. I want to use that day to say a special thank you to the fans of Hapoel Beer sheva. You guys made me strong mentally as a player. I will never forget you all. Thank you for accepting me.

“Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for showing me love. Thank you for believing me. Thank you for everything. Thank you for the memories together. I will always be your number one supporter. I love you all from the bottom of my heart,” he wrote on his Instagram page.

The 31 year old scored 13 goals in 150 appearances, winning six titles, including three successive league titles, two Israeli Cup crowns and one Toto Cup title in his five years stay at Hapoel Beer Sheba.

An impactful stint with Hapoel Beer Sheva saw him being named the Best Foreign Player in the league in 2016 after helping the club to their first league title in 40 years.
