Super Eagles and Torino full-back Ola Aina has been given a three-match ban for his red card in the Italian Serie A game against Bologna at the weekend.

Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that the Nigeria international was shown a straight red card in stoppage time of the 3-2 defeat for showing dissent to referee Maurizio Mariani.

The Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio, FIGC's sporting judiciary handed the three-game punishment to the 22 year old on Tuesday.

Aina, who was declared injured and replaced by Akwa United star Ndifreke Effiong by Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr for the African Cup of Nations qualifier game with Seychelles and friendly tie with Egypt on March 22 and 24 respectively, had since appologised for the indiscipline.

On resumption from international break, Aina will miss Torino’s next the matches against Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Parma due to the suspension.

This season, the on-loan Chelsea player has been impressive since joining the side last summer, helping them to keep 10 clean sheets in 24 league appearances.
