LEADING top scorer in the ongoing Gold Cup preseason tournament in Akure,
Segun Alebiosu says his ambition is to win trophy for Kwara United rather than
individual award, Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports.
Alebiosu scored his third goal of the competition in his
team’s 2-1 victory over Remo Stars on Sunday.
The former Niger Tornadoes forward, who bagged a brace in
the Harmony Warriors 3-1 victory against Almar FC on Friday said, "I am
delighted to have scored three goals in the Gold Cup Tourney, and in the race for
the top scorer's award.
"My desire is to lift the Gold Cup Tourney trophy
come November 24th and not an individual award.
"Winning it of course will boost our confidence
level going into the new Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
"I hope my goals will make it possible for me,
however I have vowed to score more goals too."
