Amokachi: I want to open the door for African coaches in Europe
WHEN Daniel Amokachi touched down in Finland at the end
of January to take on his new role as head coach of second division side JS
Hercules, it was like nothing he had ever experienced before. A far cry from
the searing heat of his native Nigeria, the 1994 CAF Africa Cup of Nations
winner arrived at Oulu, a city just a two-hour drive from the Arctic Circle, to
link up with the semi-professional Finnish outfit, his first managerial job in
Europe.
