THE 31st edition of the annual Dala Hard Court Tennis
Championship serves off on Friday at the Kano Club Courts.
According to the tournament Director, Alhaji Yusuf Datti,
the preliminaries will hold from November 17-19, 2017, while the main draws
will commence on Monday, November 20, 2017.
Datti, said that over 300 non-ranking as well as 20 men
and 10 women top ranking players are to storm Kano for the championship.
Alhaji Datti explained that all necessary arrangements
have been concluded especially regarding accommodation and feeding for the
officials and players towards a hitch-free tournament.
The tournament Director added that the organized has
budgeted over N17 million for the competition adding that so far only
N13 million was realised from Dangote and Fidelity Bank.
Datti said that the organizer under Alhaji Bashir Ahmad
Gumel has mapped out strategies with a view to actualize the desired objective.
The tournament Director urged the participating players
to avoid anything capable of tarnishing the image of the competition.
