THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released the fixtures and venues for the Round of 64 matches of this year’s men Federation Cup competition, as well as the first round matches of the women competition.

83 teams ready for Federation Cup draw

A total of 83 teams are slated to enter the pot at the National Draws for the men and women Federation Cup competitions on Thursday, 5th May 2016.

Head of Federation Cup unit of the NFF, Emmanuel Adesanya, told thenff.com on Wednesday that a total of 61 teams would be involved in the men’s version, while 22 teams would be involved in the women’s event.

Federation Cup play-off matches hold this weekend

THE play-off matches of this year’s men Federation Cup competition will take place on Saturday and Sunday across the federation.

Emmanuel Adesanya, Head of Federation Cup unit, told thenff.com that 20 teams will participate in the play –off round, which will involve the so –called rookie teams that have qualified for the national finals by virtue of reaching the final of the competition in the various States.
