Getafe 0-0 Espanyol: Etebo admits to tough game

By Akeem Lawal
SUPER Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has admitted that Getafe’s game against Espanol at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Tuesday was a tough one.

Sportsbiz247.blogspot.com reports that Champions League-chasing Getafe suffered a setback on their ambition as they were held to a 0-0 draw by strugglers Espanol who played most of the La Liga match with 10 men.

The Nigeria international, who is on loan from the English Championship side Stoke was introduced for Cameroonian defender Allan Nyom on 46 minutes for his eight appearance for the club.

The 24-year-old took to the social media to rally-round his team mates ahead of their next game away to Elber on Saturday.

“Tough game last night but we go again lads @GetafeCF”, Etebo tweeted on Wednesday.

The result ensured Getafe remain fifth place on 47 points as they again missed out on the chance to move into the top four having lost 2-1 at Granada last Friday. A point however took Espanyol off the bottom of the table and into 19th place on 24 points, two points from the safety zone.
