NIGERIAN born boxing sensation Larry ‘The Natural’
Ekundayo made a winning return to the ring last Friday.
The African Boxing Union Champion defeated Arvydas Trizno
in one of the Relentless Promotion event tagged ‘Christmas Cracker’ at Tolworth
Recreation Centre in Surbiton, UK.
Judges scored the contest 60-54 points in favour of
Ekundayo as he continues his unbeatable runs in full time professional boxing
categories to a record 12-0.
This was Ekundayo’s first match after over a year since
he defeated Joseph Lamptey by virtue of an unanimous decision to clinch the
African Boxing Union welterweight title back in October 2015.
Recalled that the talented boxer was scheduled to defend
his title against Tanzanian boxing star Saidi Mundi on Saturday 4th June in
London, but a hand injury during training left his handlers with no other
choice than to pull out of his title defence fight.
The London-based Welterweight boxer who showed no sign of
rustiness against Trizno will now be looking forward to challenge for the
Commonwealth title in early 2017
Ekundayo is a uniquely gifted welterweight possessing a
breath-taking range of offensive and defensive skills that leaves opponents
dazzled and spectators on the edge of their seats.
